Mozzarella Cheese Sticks

1/2 Cup Flour
2 Eggs, Beaten
1/4 Cup Milk (I use 2%)
2 Cups Italian Seasoned Bread Crumbs
2 Cups Canola Oil, For frying
String Cheese, you can cut up pieces of Mozzarella cheese. I use String Cheese sticks, and just cut them in half. You can make about 20 pieces of cut cheese.

In separate bowls, Place the flour, beaten eggs and milk, and the Italian bread crumbs. One by one, roll the cheese pieces on the flour. Then dunk them in the egg and milk mixture. Finally roll them in the Italian bread crumbs, and line them up on a cookie sheet. I let them sit in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes. This way they set, and the bread crumbs don’t all fall off during frying. Heat about 1 1/2 to 2 inches of oil in a large deep sauce pan over medium/high heat. Make sure the oil is hot and ready before you start frying. Fry the cheese sticks flipping until browned evenly. Keep an eye on them, it is usually 3-4 minutes per side. Remove them to a paper towel lined plate. Serve with a warm Marinara Sauce. I like to use my Pizza Sauce recipe 🙂
